Regis v Mullen for 5A Football State Championshship
Here are the first few photos. More to come soon.
Congratulations, Raiders, on an outstanding season! 13 and 1! You can be proud not only of the way you've played this year, but of the character you've built, and all that you've learned. My favorite photo was at the end of the game, when the Mullen Mustangs knelt down next to the Regis Raiders, coach Mark Nolan in the middle, joining together in the Lord's Prayer. Truly, this has been more than a game, more than a championship. it has been your opportunity, and your privelege, to be Men, With and For Others. Congratulations to the Mullen Mustangs on their third consecutive state championship, and congratulations to the Regis Raiders, for all that you've accomplished. We're very proud of you!
Final Score was Mullen 37, Regis 6, but that doesn't tell the story. Many would give up with a half time score of 31 to nothing, but you chose instead to step up in the second half, where you matched the Mustangs point for point. This is a season to be proud of.
